Common questions
Is a global employment template enough for Pakistan?
No. Labour law in Pakistan is largely provincial, and statutory minimums
for notice, leave, gratuity and social security override contrary contract
terms. A global template usually needs a Pakistan-specific schedule at minimum.
Are non-compete clauses enforceable?
Post-employment restraints on trade are difficult to enforce in Pakistan and
are frequently read down. Confidentiality, non-solicitation of clients and IP
assignment are the provisions that carry real weight.
